Clos Aguilem soil and vineyard

The location of Clos Aguilem makes it exceptionally fertile. Set in the bed of the Hérault river, this vineyard stretches along the slopes of the Causse du Larzac foothills. Covering 6.70 hectares, the vineyard is spread over several small villages. Saint Saturnin de Lucian, Arboras, Saint Guiraud, Ceyras, Saint André de Sangonis, ... The Hérault department is proudly represented in this vineyard.

Clos Aguilem's soils are made up of hard limestone, schist, sand, ruffe and red earth. The vineyard is made up of old plots planted with Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache and Chenin. On more recent sections, the winemakers have planted a few vines of Mourvèdre, Syrah and Vermentino.
