The winemaker
Convinced of its economic future in the development of high quality wines, the domain Milhau restructures since 1970 thanks to the family and work Emilienne Lacugue Joseph and their children and grandchildren. The woods, heaths, vineyards and buildings now find their unity. The Castle-Milhau Lacugue gathers to date more than 210 hectares of which nearly 120 ha of vineyards and 10 hectares of olive trees. With its diversity of terroirs, Château-Milhau Lacugue today produces wines designations SAINT-Chinian and Coteaux du Languedoc controlled, as well as wines from the Pays d'Oc and Coteaux de Fontcaude. The Milhau-Lacugue castle is located halfway up the hillside vineyards of northern Puisserguier, bordering the municipalities of Cazouls and Cazedarnes. Its vineyards exposed south-south-east, from 120 to 200 meters, are installed, with many geological whims, on lands of the Mesozoic and Tertiary. Between these systems over time has slowly shaped the present relief to give each plot of vines a unique feature. A sought grape varieties adapted to each terroir, allows to develop great wines, highly appreciated and recognized in major national and international competitions. This is all its wines, Saint-Chinian A.O.C in Wine Country d'Oc, we hope to offer you and make you appreciate.
