The winemaker
The great history of Château Coujan
Château Coujan has been around for centuries in some of its architecture. But it has been making a name for itself as a winery with the Guy family since 1868. With François Guy, Château Coujan became a quality wine in the 70s with the Saint Chinian appellation. In 1988, daughter Florence Guy took over and turned the vineyard over to organic farming.
The organic terroir of Château Coujan
Château Coujan's terroir is centered on respect for nature, where vines cohabit with insects, other plants and animals. The latter include peacocks, which have become the muse for this vineyard. Florence Guy claims that the vines are grown organically, without pesticides or any other chemical agents.
Château coujan: the wines
The vineyard offers red wines like Soleil de Martial and white wines like Roc & Rolle or the mellow Dernière Cueillette. If you want to taste an AOP Saint Chinian, choose Cuvée du Bois Joli (white or red) or a bottle of Ile de Corail.
