The winemaker

When Courrèges family embarks on the adventure of Domaine Vacceli, it has already stored several years of experience on a vineyard in Algeria. Forced to return to France after the independence of Algeria, the family settled in the Taravo Valley in 1961. They decided to completely transform the area: the old vines are uprooted, a cellar is built. Although Alain Courrèges is learned alone, it takes manual labor and considers winemaking an art. This approach is reflected in its wines made from Grenache, alicante, Cinsault, the Sciaccarellu and Muscat of Alexandria.
