A little astringent, but a balanced wine. It will appeal to those looking for chalkiness, but it's a little less appealing to me. Still an interesting saumur champigny. I prefer the cuvée Le Roi from the same estate.

A good wine, good value for money, ripe and ready to drink now. Decanted 30-45min, it releases its red fruit and forest aromas. Very nice with a meat dish in sauce.

A nose with hints of cocoa. Notes of crunchy fruit. On the palate, a sensation of chalk, typical of the appellation, and crunchy red fruit. Enjoy slightly chilled.

A wine to be drunk slightly chilled (loses some of its liveliness with heat). The nose is very expressive and the palate well-balanced. A lovely bottle!
