The winemaker
The history of the Thiénot Champagne House
Alain Thiénot was a Champagne wine broker for 20 years, which enabled him to acquire an excellent knowledge of wines and their production processes. He rubbed shoulders with winemakers and trained alongside them, until that day in 1985 when he embarked on his own adventure, with his own house, Champagne Thiénot.
The success of Champagne Thiénot was meteoric, and within a few years it had established itself as one of the most renowned champagne houses in the world. The house is perceived as contemporary and innovative. Its blends are made from the finest grapes, thanks to Alain Thiénot's knowledge of all the Champagne growers. His aim is to prioritize quality over quantity, and to use his creativity to imbue his house with his signature style.
