The winemaker

The history of the Pannier Champagne house

Champagne Pannier was founded in 1899 in Dizy, just outside Épernay. Its founder, Louis-Eugène Pannier, worked tirelessly to develop his business. His success enabled him to settle in one of the most prestigious locations in Champagne, Château-Thierry, in the heart of the Marne Valley hillsides.

Pannier's cellars are built with stones extracted from quarries dating back to the 12th century. The archer engraved in one of these deep galleries has since become the emblem of Pannier Champagne. It symbolizes the balance, mastery and skill required to make a great champagne. The brand has thus adopted the archery motto: "Tending to perfection".

Pannier Champagne grapes

Champagne Pannier is made from grapes sourced from Champagne's finest vineyards, from the Côte des Blancs to the Montagne de Reims, via the Vallée de la Marne. It skilfully blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to produce a nectar with a gourmet character and incomparable fruitiness.

Champagne Pannier aims for excellence and has chosen to limit its production. Its know-how and perfectionism are bearing fruit, and its bottles are exported to all five continents.

Selection from the Pannier Champagne range

Brut Sélection

Champagne Pannier Brut Sélection is a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier. It is aged for a minimum of 3 years in the company's cellars, before being released on the market. Brut Sélection is fresh and harmonious. Its aromas combine subtle notes of acacia flowers, fresh fruit, fine pastry and brioche. Champagne Pannier Brut Sélection is ideal for aperitifs and festive cocktails. It's also a delicious accompaniment to puff pastries and canapés.

Demi-sec Séduction

Champagne Pannier Demi-Sec Séduction is made from 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier, with a demi-sec dosage of 40g/l. It is aged for a minimum of 3 years in our cellars. Demi-Sec sélection is a delicate, round, mellow wine. Its aromas are reminiscent of fresh almonds and white peaches, with hints of honey. It's the ideal champagne for your fruit-based desserts, tarts or salads.

Extra-Brut Exact

Champagne Extra-Brut Exact is also composed of 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier, but ages for a minimum of 4 years in the cellars of Maison Pannier.

With its low dosage, Extra-Brut Exact is the lightest of Pannier champagnes. It's a pure wine, with a subtle character and elegant minerality. It's perfect for desserts, and a marvelous accompaniment to seafood dishes, oysters and sushi. Brut Rosé

Brut Rosé is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Meunier, including 15% red Champagne. It is aged in our cellars for a minimum of three years.
Champagne Pannier rosé is always exquisitely fresh. It's a gourmet wine, dominated by red fruits, with a toasty finish. It's the wine of summer, for aperitifs in the garden, grilled salmon and fruity desserts.
