The winemaker
The first two vintages of the house show a legitimate ambition to share his taste of an exceptional champagne from Pinot Black. The Collard family settled in Bouzy in 1919 by the marriage of Lucien Collard - grandfather of the current owner of the house - and Julia Bara. He then ran, following his father, one of the great Champagne vineyards. She came from a family of winemakers settled in this Grand Cru since 1833. From this union was born a true family tradition since each generation has sought to continue the operation of the domain Bouzy vineyards while managing large champagne houses. We strive to comply with a strict quality charter: - respectful of the environment (High Environmental Value label) - vintages limited sulphites - double the aging time - low dosage (vintages limited sugar)
