"Family estate
Rooted in the Côte des Bar terroir at Rizaucourt in Haute-Marne, Monique and Jean-Jacques DAUBANTON planted their first vine in 1982.
This family business extends over 3 communes, Rizaucourt, Argentolles, the only Champagne appellation villages in the Haute-Marne, and Dolancourt in the Aube, representing 4 hectares.
All three Champagne grape varieties are planted on the estate: 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay.
The first bottle of Champagne DAUBANTON went on sale in 1990. Work on the vines and the wines is carried out mainly by the family, with the help of their children, Amélie, Clément and Victorien for the past few years.
"Wines with identity
Since the 2012 harvest, Champagne Daubanton & Fils has been made on our premises using a latest-generation Champagne press. We have invested in a production tool combining innovation as well as tradition.
Our wines are vinified and aged in oak barrels, stainless steel vats and terracotta jars (not yet marketed), adapting our ageing methods to each terroir to achieve their best expression and confer structure and complexity on our champagnes.
