The winemaker

The history of the estate has been shaped over the course of a century. At the beginning, in 1900, Alfred Baudin and Denis Pongnont each ran the family vineyard in Cormoyeux. Today, it's Nathalie Baudin and José Boude who manage the estate and are behind the union of the 2 vineyards. Domaine Boude Baudin is located 6km from the birthplace of Champagne, in the heart of the Marne Valley. The vines benefit from a soil with an exceptional history: 45 million years ago, a tropical sea stood on the same spot. As a result, "Campanils Giganteum" shells were deposited here. Now fossils, they provide the vines with a unique mineral soil for these champagnes. Domaine Boude Baudin is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
