At the turn of the last century, Pierre-Alfred Remoissenet's ambition was to become the leading Burgundy wine expert. Trained as a cooper, he became a renowned broker-taster, and quickly built up a clientele of connoisseurs. He then founded Maison Remoissenet Père et Fils in the shadow of Beaune's ancient ramparts. The vineyards, gradually purchased by his descendants, stretch over 60km in the Côte-d'Or. The ageing cellars date back to the 14th and 15th centuries. An emblematic, unshakeable house, an indisputable benchmark for all Burgundy wine lovers.
