MondovinoEstimated delivery between 19 and Nov 21,
Planted in the 11th century by the Abbey of Cîteaux with white grapes, it is now planted with Pinot Noir. The soil is composed of sandy clay and stony clay from the lower slopes. The rows are oriented north-south. The 89-acre plot produces around 4,500 bottles a year (average over 20 years). The average age of the vines is 38 years, the oldest dating back to 1937. The harvest is totally destemmed. Few new barrels are used. Bottling takes place after 18 months in barrel. Benefiting from deep soil, Clos Blanc gives its best results in warm years (gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris in 1990).
