In a few words ...

When david duband joined his father pierre at the helm of the family domaine, the duband family operated 15 hectares of vines at chevannes in the heart of the hautes côtes de nuits, and 5 hectares at nuits saint georges. As the grapes were sold by the cooperative, the domaine duband was all about viticulture. Having just graduated from "viti" in Beaune, david duband launched into winemaking with his first vintage in 1991. It was an opportunity for an enterprising and talented spirit to test and experiment with all winemaking techniques to produce great Burgundy wines. david duband's wine philosophy is rooted in his father's work in the vineyards, and in the sound advice of his mentor robert jayer at magny-les-villers. He also listened to his cousins' teachings during internships at domaines arlaud and pierre amiot in morey-saint-denis. But it was also his love of Burgundy wines and the great achievements of domaine dujac in morey-saint-denis or armand rousseau in gevrey-chambertin that inspired him and guided his winemaking choices. Choices that are now widely recognized. "racy, elegant wines with floral and spicy aromas.

Another great wine from David Duband, perhaps the best Burgundy I've ever tasted.

A beautiful, fruity wine, with hints of truffle and undergrowth. Pure juice, greedy and complex. It's the best of Burgundy and in particular of the Côte de Nuits, and reasonably priced for this quality of wine.
