The first mention of morey dates back to 1120, when it became a refuge for Cîteaux monks in the 14th century, who probably owned many vines and even a winery as early as 1306. The appellation stretches from Chambolle-Musigny to Gevrey-Chambertin, covering some 148 hectares, 80% of which are red wines. "le très girard" is in fact the name of the owner of this parcel 2 centuries ago, monsieur girard de fropiac. Traits then très is used for crais, as if to designate the sand that dominates the land or forms its base. the "très girard" parcel is located in the aoc villages appellation under the "clos sorbè" and "sorbets" premiers crus. The soil is composed of clay-limestone marl with white pebbles derived from the disintegration of the limestone parent rock. An exceptional 2020 vintage, a landmark in Côte de Nuits!
