The most recent of Burgundy's A.O.C. appellations (1987), promoted to the rank of communal appellation, belongs to the prestigious Côte de Nuits vineyards, whose doors it opens to the immediate south of Dijon. Marsannay is the only village whose appellation covers red, rosé and white wines. Marsannay red is intense in color. Its delicate bouquet is inspired by wild blackberries, dried prunes and blackcurrants. Age adds muskiness. With its brilliant, intense ruby color, this marsannay from louis jadot gives off magnificent fruity aromas and a supple, expressive, fruity palate with a mellow oak note. An excellent cuvee, to be discovered without delay!
