The village of Gevrey-Chambertin is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, between Dijon and Nuits-Saint-Georges. The vineyard faces east, giving it great potential. The complex soils are composed of marl, clay and limestone. The Clos Prieur 1er Cru lies at the center of the appellation, just opposite the Grand Cru Mazis-Chambertin.
