The winemaker

The estate vineyards are planted on complex soil type clay-limestone marl hillsides on the Oxfordian, dolomitized limestone, red clay, particularly on Pommard, which allows the Pinot s Black ' express power and elegance. A selection of grape varieties and division between old vines (50 years) and more recent vines, with the desire to maintain a land assets in good condition is a constant concern of the Domain. The vineyard has shifted in recent years to organic and biodynamic approach, respecting the environment and health, in order to optimize the expression of each terroir in its truest and natural form. The estate is certified organic since 2013 by Ecocert. No herbicide is used, the vineyards are plowed to the plow in moderation.
