The winemaker

History of the domain

Domaine Louis Moreau wines come from a single holding within the Viviers community. The quality of the terroir motivated Jean Jacques Moreau to make a grouping in the 1970s. Louis Moreau has been at the head of the estate since 1994. He works with respect for the environment and nature. What's more, he selects the best plants.

Characteristics of the estate and terroir

Domaine Louis Moreau actually stems from a passion in Chablis dating back to the 19th century. This large family is passionate about great wines. So they acquired parcels of Chablis Grands Crus. Today, the domaine owns 5 Grands Crus, including one monopole. The most famous is the "Monopole Chablis Grand Cru Clos des Hospices dans les Clos". The family acquisition dates back to 1904.

The estate's wines

The estate invites wine lovers to discover its excellent crus. Petit Chablis is one of the estate's emblematic bottles. Fruity and dynamic, this wine is perfect as an aperitif. Premier Cru Vau Ligneau ends on a fabulous acidic note. Buttery aromas give it suppleness. Discover other quality wines including Chablis "Les 8", Grand Cru Blanchot and other wonders from the domaine.
