The winemaker

Son of Chablis winemaker Marius, Jean Collet created the Domaine Jean Collet in 1952, by which time he owned 61 ares of vines. He began selling his harvest in bulk to merchants, bottling part of it in 1954 and exporting to the United States as early as 1959. In 1979, Gilles joined his father and the estate became Domaine Jean Collet & Fils. At that time, the estate covered a surface area of 15 hectares. Romain, Gilles' son, represents the fourth generation of Collets in Chablis. He joined the family domaine for the 2009 harvest. The cellar and winery, located in the very heart of Chablis, where tradition and modernity coexist, are the image of a family proud of its know-how. The Collets are naturally very active, and in their desire to serve their customers to the best of their ability, they have never hesitated to invest and will continue to do so, so that you will find their best bottles on your table.
