The winemaker

It was in 1995 that Philip takes the reins of the family business succeeding his parents. At the time the area has 9 hectares of vineyards. Philippe Germain wanted to expand its business by acquiring new vineyards and therefore extended the property of 13 hectares. In collaboration with his wife Isabelle, who manages all the administrative, Philip worked hard to publicize its operations worldwide. Subsequently, in 2008, the nephew of Philip Maxime Champaud, decides to join his uncle in the area to satisfy his passion for vineyard work. Since joining the field, Maxime has added 6 hectares of land. Today, the farm has 19 hectares of vineyards and produces an average of 100,000 bottles per year. The culture of the vine is the traditional way, without weeding and without insecticide. The domain Philippe Germain participates in Phyto Challenge, recognized by the Chamber of Agriculture, which aims to minimize treatment products to meet the nature but also the product: wine. The domain Philippe Germain offers many prestigious appellations of Burgundy, with wines easily accessible on youth. All are aged in oak barrels.
