The winemaker

He started out in the haute-couture wine trade in the late 80s. Since 2006, he has owned his own 6-hectare estate. This changes everything, because he didn't make wine before. He simply matured the wines. In fact, he has his own integrated cooperage, which has caused quite a stir in the past because his wines had the reputation of being marked by their passage in new barrels made exclusively from the Tronçais forest. He has even experimented with cuvées with 200% new wood (twice twelve months in new barrels). He neither fined nor filtered the wines before bottling. His finest parcels include Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots, Nuits Saint-Georges 1er cru, and grands crus such as Bonnes Mares and Echézeaux.
