The winemaker

The field of Gandines was created by Joseph DANANCHET in 1925. The first plot planted was the one on the exceptional climate "The Gandines". The field is then made that a hectare and a half in Clessé. Over the decades, four generations have followed. In 1979, Robert DANANCHET takes the vineyard from his father Marc DANANCHET. Robert continues the work of the vine while respecting the tradition and terroir using no herbicides or chemical fertilizers, and increase the vineyard area to eight hectares. Since the arrival of Benjamin DANANCHET in 2005, the vineyard is in organic farming and spans just over ten hectares. It was in 2009 that the vineyard was certified in organic farming, and culture is gradually changing toward biodynamics, which is performed on the whole vineyard in 2012. The year 2015 marks the arrival of Florent DANANCHET within the family farm. After oenologist studies and some years of experience around the world, he decided to join his father and brother. The vineyard extends then to thirteen hectares. Today Benjamin Robert Florent and work together with the same passion and a simple philosophy, that of producing great wines of Chardonnay while respecting the terroir, the living environment and health. Some projects are still to come before the arrival of the new generation. This is the year of 2016 the construction of a new winery and planting a hectare and a half of vines that bear the surface area of ​​Gandines fifteen hectares cultivated in Biodynamics.
