The winemaker
Domaine Chofflet, formerly Domaine Chofflet-Valdenaire, is a Burgundy vineyard in the hamlet of Russilly, in the commune of Givry. It has reverted to its original name since Jonathan Brunot took over from Denis Valdenaire in 2019. Its 14 hectares of slopes face the rising sun, due east, between 300 and 400 meters above sea level, offering a very favorable climate and breathtaking views. This renowned Côte Chalonnaise estate naturally produces red wines in the Givry and Givry premier cru appellations. The vines are cultivated using integrated farming methods to limit treatments and express respect for the terroir. Vinification takes place in concrete vats, with long aging in French oak barrels.
