The winemaker

The history of the estate

The Chantal Lescure domaine was born in 1975 in the heart of the Burgundy countryside. Chantal Lescure rapidly developed her domaine and became known throughout France and the world for the gustatory and organoleptic qualities of her wines. Following her death, her two sons, Aymeric and Thibault, took over the estate and continued the family legacy.

Today, the domaine produces 19 cuvées a year from 35 parcels. Aymeric and Thibault's only guiding principle is to produce authentic, transparent wines that express their terroir to the full.

A love of terroir and product

The vineyard has been farmed organically since its creation, but Aymeric and Thibault obtained certification in 2009. The desire to produce wines that best express the terroir has led the estate to implement this viticulture that respects the entire ecosystem that encompasses the property.

Vinification is gentle and tailor-made to respect the particularities of each terroir. The wines are aged on lees, in Burgundy pieces and in 500-liter barrels.

The wines

The cuvée Pommard 1er Cru les Bertins offers a deep ruby-purple color, a nose of red and black fruits as well as notes of leather, spices and animal. On the palate, there's a fine structure and elegant tannins. Enjoy with beef steak, lamb or poultry stew.

Cuvée Chantal Lescure "Les Suchots" is produced in the Vosne-Romanée appellation. Delightful and seductive, this wine offers a nose of crisp red fruit and blackcurrant. On the palate, there's a powerful structure and tight tannins. Decant well before tasting and age in the cellar.

Cuvée Pommard les Vignots boasts a deep ruby/purple color and a nose of red and black fruits. There are also hints of spice and venison. On the palate, the wine is round and well-structured, and will improve with age. Perfect with tasty meat or poultry.
