The winemaker
With a history that goes back to 1920, the Amiot family has established itself in the Chassagne-Montrachet terroir over the generations. The founders, Arsène and Flavie, initiated a winegrowing vocation that has now been handed down to the 4th generation, represented by great-grandsons Thierry and Fabrice. Guy, their father, who breathed new life into the family business in 1985, is pleased to see the family tradition continuing. Thanks to the maintenance of the business by the family's children, who succeed each other at the head of the estate, the vines remain in family ownership, guaranteeing traditional viticulture free from any speculative logic.
Planted for the most part from the 1920s-1930s, the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines naturally lend themselves to modest yields.
The care given to the vines, from pruning to harvesting, contributes to expressing the full flavor of the terroir of each plot.
