The winemaker
The Domaine Alain Gras vineyard
Domaine Alain Gras has a surface area of 12 hectares, divided into several parcels in the communes of Saint-Romain, Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines grow on clay-limestone soil. This poor terroir forces the roots to plunge deep into the soil to capture the minerals and water necessary for the development of the grapes, which ripen rather late. The result is a wine of great elegance, freshness and fruitiness.
The wines of Domaine Alain Gras
In its range, the Burgundian domaine offers 3 of the region's most prestigious AOPs (Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses and Meursault) with a focus on optimum value for money. Both red and white wines are aged in oak barrels for some of the cuvées.
