domaine laurent roumier is part of the estate division created in 1924 by his grandfather george roumier. For this wine producer, being a winemaker is not a job but a passion. Long associated with his brother, it was in 1991 that he created his own estate with four hectares of leased vines. Thanks to a series of acquisitions, he now owns a dozen hectares. His entire estate is located in Chambolle-Musigny. The vines at domaine laurent roumier, mainly made up of old stock with an average age of 35 years, are worked in the traditional way, in the same way as his own father, alain. Laurent roumier cultivates his vines in a completely natural way, without fertilizers or herbicides. Vinification is done the old-fashioned way, giving the wines exceptional aromas. Harvesting is carefully done by hand. Chambolle musigny 1er cru from domaine laurent roumier (grandson of the famous georges roumier) is made from 50-year-old pinot noir vines. This wine reveals magnificent notes of red berries, Morello cherry, undergrowth and spices. The palate is very delicate and silky.
