françois and marie-pierre mikulski founded their domaine in meursault in 1991. The estate covers around two hectares in the Meursault appellation, with parcels in the Limozin, Moulin Landin, Meix Chavaux, Pelles dessus and Narvaux climats. The winegrowers are keen to preserve the terroir and pay great attention to the work in the vineyard. Compost is produced and spread by them, environmentally-friendly phytosanitary products are used at all times, and total ploughing and biological balance are the main concerns of the estate's vineyard management. All this work brings great purity and complexity to the domaine's wines. The subsoil of françois mikulski's burgundy is composed of fine river alluvium, common in the lower part of the hillside. The two plots we work on border on the Meursault appellation, giving the wine characteristics similar to those of its big brother: long on the palate, full-bodied, with good ageing potential.
