Chateau d'Yquem covers an area of 113 hectares. The vineyard is constantly renewed by uprooting the oldest vines. The grapes from the new vines will only be harvested after a period of 5 years. due to its location, the chateau benefits from a microclimate, with humid mornings and dry afternoons, which allows the development of "noble rot", known as botrytis. the wine is aged for over 42 months in new barrels. frédéric dard described chateau d'yquem as "light drunk." there is yquem and then there are the others. World-renowned for its finesse and aromas, chateau d'yquem is a blend of sémillon and sauvignon. The result of all the care taken throughout the year is an unrivalled and eternal Sauternes. Expensive but exceptional.

Taste
The sweet white young are delicious, they are slightly jammy but still retain acidity. With age they evolve on more concentrated aromas, such as the bitter orange confit and small notes of salted butter caramel.
