"The owners of Clos Haut-Peyraguey present this wine as the little brother of its elder brother. They have a lot in common. First, there's the terroir of this Premier Cru, a typical Sauternes blend of sand, gravel and clay. Then there's the action of botrytis cinerea, the fungus responsible for noble rot, which concentrates and roasts the grapes - 90% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon. The grapes are then harvested by hand, in several passes, to pick the finest berries. Finally, there's a 22-month vinification and ageing in oak barrels." Le Figaro VIN
"The style is modern, invigorating, precise, dynamic, not stuffing the mouth but giving it to appreciate tangy, crisp flavors. Beautiful spring ensemble."
