In a few words ...

The 1962 vintage is a great vintage that unfortunately struggled to exist in the face of its 1961 predecessor. The wines, very pleasant in their youth, had great ageing potential. The off-season was favorable for Sauternes and other sweet wines.

It's a great vintage.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

Aroma

The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.

Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity | Smoked

Taste

The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.

Wine Fruity | Long
