Situated on the Pomerol plateau, Château Taillefer takes its name from a typical feature of the appellation: iron oxides. The old-timers say that the plough "cuts iron" here, so much so that it picks up iron in the vineyards.

Aroma
The wine is structured with a dense, velvety tannic structure, red fruit aromas (wild strawberry, raspberry, blackberry), woody notes (licorice, clove, cocoa bean) and minerality.
Taste
On the palate, the wine is well structured with lush fruit, dark chocolate and sweet spices. It has a fresh finish and very good length.
