La Fugue de Nénin was created in 1997. It is made from the sandy-clay terroirs of the Château Nénin vineyard, as well as young vines grown on the great terroirs of the plateau. It is made from two grape varieties: Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Expressing all the spirit of Pomerol, this second wine is conceived as a tribute to the world of music: it matches the tones of Château Nénin but ensures an entertaining expression. Gourmandise is enhanced by freshness and persistent tannins.
Appearance
Pomerols are usually dark ruby in color, with violet highlights when young, and brick hues as they age.
Aroma
The bouquet is often rich and complex, with notes of black and red fruits. Empyreumatic notes are also present, with leather, roasting and a hint of vanilla.
