"Trotanoy is a perfect illustration of the heatwave vintage. Candied fruit dominates the entire tasting of this 2003, with its superb garnet-black color. Empyreumatic notes accompany the ripe fruit. The velvety tannins become firm on the finish, confirming that the acidity necessary for great ageing wines is present. Powerful, this wine is sure to please for five to six years or more. Appearance

The Pomerol's dress is most often dark ruby and purple hues in its youth and an appearance of brick hues with aging.

Aroma

The bouquet is often very rich and complex with notes of black and red fruits. Also note the presence of empyreumatic with leather, roasting and a vanilla tip.

The tannins of the Pomerols are rather robust, we will wait a certain maturity to find a perfectly balanced wine. Note the presence of ripe black fruits including blackcurrant, and sometimes truffle.
