This cuvée is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. On tasting, the wine opens with a complex bouquet of fruity, vegetal, floral and spicy aromas. Its dense, velvety texture extends to a lightly saline finish. A great wine for ageing and gastronomy.

Appearance
Pomerols are usually dark ruby in color, with violet highlights when young, and brick hues as they age.
Aroma
The bouquet is often rich and complex, with notes of black and red fruits. Empyreumatic notes are also present, with leather, roasting and a hint of vanilla.

Taste
The tannins in Pomerols are rather robust, and you'll need to wait for a certain maturity to find a perfectly balanced wine. Ripe black fruit, including blackcurrant, and sometimes truffle, are present.
