La Cave de L'illEstimated delivery between 26 and Dec 28,
Planted on the Martillac plateau in the 18th century by the philosopher Montesquieu, the Ferran vineyard has belonged to the same family since 1880, represented today by Ghislaine and Philippe Lacoste. Hand-harvesting, strict sorting of the harvest, classic vinification with moderate use of new wood: everything is done to maintain the cru at its best, both in red (18 hectares) and white (4 hectares) wines.
"It's a lovely estate of some twenty hectares adjoining the crus classés of Pessac-Léognan, which produces wines of impeccable, consistent quality", "The reds have been steadily improving over the last few vintages, with lots of style, very typical of Pessac-Léognan. Its price makes it highly recommendable. A safe bet at unbeatable prices".
