    In a few words ...

In a vintage as exceptional as 2000, the last great vintage of the 20th century, Mouton Rothschild decided to dress its great nectar in the finest jewel case. The little "Augsburg belier" - the jewel of the Musée du Vin dans l'Art and the emblem of Mouton Rothschild - was chosen to be reproduced directly in fine gold on each bottle. The garnet-red color precedes a beautifully complex bouquet of prunes, jammy fruit, ferns and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and fleshy, with a full attack and caressing yet dense tannins. Retro-olfaction recalls the undergrowth of the nose, with discreet hints of roasting. Fleshy and powerful, the finish is long-lasting, confirming the breed of Mouton Rothschild's great vintages. Reminiscent of the magnificent 1986. A Pauillac for laying down.

    Tasting notes

    Aroma

The bouquet consists of black and red fruits, roasting, licorice and leather.

Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity | Spicy

    Taste

The Pauillacs are vigorous and tannic, which softens with age which allows the tannins to melt and give a nice and round structure.
