The geographical area of Pauillac lies in the heart of the Médoc peninsula. The terroir is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines have an intense, deep color. The nose offers aromas of red and black fruits, spicy notes and hints of roasting. This bouquet is supported by a fine tannic structure. Pauillacs are great wines for laying down.
The 1975 vintage was an excellent vintage with a small crop, but a little long in the making. The red wines were complete and full-bodied, all the qualities of very great wines that didn't always live up to their promise.
It's an excellent vintage with a small harvest, but one that took a little time to make.
