    In a few words ...

A contrasting winter followed by a cool, rainy spring failed to make up for the water deficit that had built up over the last few seasons. Between July 15 and September 24, a dry, hot climate with wide temperature variations set in. The drought continued to worsen. This particular climatic context led to local blockages, resulting in disparities in ripening, with small berries. Veraison, like flowering, remained slow. Our soils, composed of deep gravel mixed with a significant clay base, mitigate the negative effects of a significant water deficit. This ensures progressive ripening of the grapes even in very dry conditions. The grapes remained very healthy until the last week of September, but rainfall accelerated the start of harvesting, which began on September 27 and lasted until October 18. The grapes were aged in oak barrels for 18 months (75% new wood). Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity | Spicy

    Taste

The Pauillacs are vigorous and tannic, which softens with age which allows the tannins to melt and give a nice and round structure.
