The younger brother of the 1er Cru Classé Château Lafite Rothschild, Carruades de Lafite (AOP Pauillac) comes from younger plots and has a higher proportion of Merlot than its elder brother. Hand-harvested, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot are vinified separately, then blended and aged for 16-20 months in barrels (80%) and vats (20%).
