In a few words ...

Haut Médoc is located upstream from the Gironde estuary. The gravelly composition of the soil encourages the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are concentrated and tannic, requiring at least 6 months of ageing. When young, the nose offers aromas of red and black fruits, evolving towards spices and more or less vanilla with age. Haut Médocs are great wines for laying down.
The 2014 vintage is a miraculous vintage. The summer was cold and rainy, but from late August to November, France enjoyed an exceptional Indian summer, which enabled the grapes to reach exceptional ripeness.
