In a few words ...
The etymology of "Soudar", which has nothing to do with the meaning of the French word "soudard", actually comes from Old Welsh and probably dates back to the time of the English presence in Aquitaine. It meant "enclosure made of stone walls to protect cattle". As several of our localities bear this name, the trademark was registered in the plural, hence "Château Soudars".

Appearance
Intense ruby to garnet color.
Aroma
Notes of black fruit with blackcurrant and blackberry, followed by empyreumatic scents that vary between vanilla and roasting.

Taste
A powerful attack and a fine tannic presence. Very concentrated, elegant and complex wine with notes of blackcurrant.

Tasting of two Magnums of Château Soudars 2005 between 10 friends with a duck breast. A unanimously acclaimed wine, with a long finish. To be recommended!
