    In a few words ...

Château Sociando-Mallet is located in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Cadoune, north of Pauillac, with its vineyards overlooking the Gironde estuary. In 1969, when Jean Gautrau decided to acquire Sociando-Mallet, only 5 hectares of vines remained in production. Today, the estate covers more than 110 hectares. The vineyard occupies the Butte de Baleyron, one of the finest gravel terroirs in the Médoc. Jean Gautrau favors grapes that are concentrated in tannin, sugar, color and aroma. J. James Suckling Critique professionnel

"There's fantastic purity of dark fruit with ripe blackberries and raspberries. Floral and bright. Full-bodied and compact with super-polished tannins. Really fantastic."

Always a beautiful house that delights in both label and content. What to see of this 2013 vintage

A 2016 vintage much more fruit-driven (especially black fruit) than previous vintages, with a lot of Merlot for the right bank (50%), and a lot of structure. Good today, probably even better tomorrow.

A wine still a little young, I highly recommend it, but keep it in the cellar a little longer.

A fine, elegant wine that went very well with last night's meal. I recommend it!
