In a few words ...

This cuvée is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet-Sauvignon, from vines around 50 years old. On tasting, the wine is full-bodied and rich, with tight tannins and a powerful aromatic bouquet of ripe red fruit. A wine with great ageing potential.

2008 was a superb year for this Haut Médoc wine from the Miailhe family. Château Coufran is also known as "the Pomerol of the Médoc"... Tasted as a starter with caillette aux herbes, parma ham, then beef ravioli, spinach, parmesan on a tomato basil coulis, followed by English cheeses such as shilton, chèvre de père d'ail de roquebrussane and a Swiss gruyère from the chalet of balthus.

Great wine, easy to drink, with real Bordeaux character. I also like the label because I drank it a long time ago and it made an impression on me, which is why I didn't hesitate to buy it.
