Fronsac wines offer a complex bouquet of red fruits and spices, dense tannins that are always elegant, and generally well-coated and very ripe.
The 1986 vintage was an excellent one, with a large crop. The red wines were austere and tannic. The Cabernets were highly colored, with little nose to begin with, and just needed to age.
