(5 customer reviews)
The terroir of the Pessac-Léognan vineyards is characterized by the gravel that sediments the hillsides. The mild climate, regulated by the Garonne and the forests, and the unfailing commitment of the region's winegrowers' union, have earned this appellation its recognition. Find out more

The winemaker

Property

The 18th-century "La Fontaine de Menaut" vineyard already belonged to a winemaker back then. The tradition has been revived over the past twenty years by Philibert Perrin, who has revived the complexity of his estate within the young Pessac-Léognan vineyards and the Graves AOC.

An original terroir for Château Lafont Menaut

The Château Lafont Menaut estate cultivates more than 20 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon grapes in an eco-responsible, reasoned approach.

The wines of Château Lafont Menaut

The Château's white wine cuvées are 100% Sauvignon, for a fleshy taste that's both sweet and dry: a perfect balance with good aging potential. On the nose, the scent of honey and lime blossom is surprising. The reds are fleshy, with concentrated, powerful tannins that leave a velvety mouthfeel. A ruby-red color mingles with a bouquet of ripe black fruits and toasted dried fruits.
