The winemaker
When Jean Guyon bought 2 hectares of beautiful clay-limestone gravel in Bégadan, he took advantage of a remarkable terroir. His wish was to make good wine for friends, but within a few years the estate took on a whole new dimension. With Château Rollan de By, Château Haut Condissac, then Château La Clare and Tour Seran, the outlines of a large vineyard approaching 100ha take shape. In 2012, Château Greysac, Château de By and Château du Monthil were added to this ensemble. The ensemble is now one of the Médoc's most extensive estates. Passion and perfectionism have brought about the rebirth of a forgotten terroir, driving the vines to exemplary levels of finesse. We're talking luxury, superb. Haute couture.
