The winemaker
The Château l'Évangile vineyard
The 22 hectares of Château l'Évangile are planted on a very special sandy-clay soil. Crossed by a line of pure gravel mixed with iron dross, the Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%) vines benefit from a mineral contribution that makes all the difference on the palate. Most of the viticultural work, including harvesting, is carried out by hand, with a limited crop to maintain quality.
The wines of Château l'Évangile
The Château l'Évangile team favors parcel-by-parcel vinification, with batches isolated before blending. This allows us to precisely select the fruity aromas of Merlot and the finesse of Cabernet Franc. Both Château l'Évangile and Blason de l'Évangile are barrel-aged for 18 months.
