A historic estate in the Sauternes region of Bordeaux, formerly known as Cru Haut Lagueritte, Domaine de la Gauche gained notoriety in the 1980s thanks to the tumultuous political past of its former owner, Mr Baro. He developed his reputation in France and beyond with, among other things, the famous "Rose Poing" label. He thus actively participated in the recognition of the wines of Sauternes. Find out more

The winemaker
Historical estate of the Sauternes region, Domaine de la Gauche acquired all its notoriety in the 1980s. thanks to the political and tumultuous past of its former owner. It developed its reputation in France and beyond, thus actively participating in the recognition of the wines of Sauternes.
The Domaine De la Gauche has managed to combine tradition and modernity over the years. Over the last ten years, under the impetus of its new owners, it has developed innovative winemaking techniques in keeping with the respect and uniqueness of this exceptional terroir and the specifications of its AOC.
The domain located on the communes of Bommes and Sauternes rests on soils of great diversity. A gravelly, sandy-clay terroir favours water flow, bringing concentration, finesse and elegance to our products. The result is wines with fruity and nervous aromas when they are young. These wines evolve by acquiring the unctuousness, the racy and the body that are so characteristic of them. Their originality is our signature. Our vines are cultivated in a reasoned manner with strict respect for environmental balance. The estate has been awarded the "HVE level 3" High Environmental Value label since 2019.
