The winemaker

The owners Serge and Martine COSTES resumed this lovely family farm in 1994, wishing to offer continuity to Martine's parents' estate. They brought with them new energy and ambition to develop high quality wines. The estate has 15 hectares of vineyards all located on the heights of their hillside overlooking the Lot valley, on an exceptional terroir that consists of clays, silica and iron ore. This soil Nature brings special aromatic freshness and finesse to the wines. Serge practice sustainable farming emphasizing the maximum use of licensed specialties in organic farming. His passion for wine, Serge expressed by developing a range of wines of Cahors very wide: 3 All vintages pure Malbec, historical grape of Cahors. These are the age of the vines, the way of vinification and aging that will bring different typical characteristics: structure, aromas, aging potential.
